Natural Hangover Home Remedies You've Never Heard Of
We've all been there, that morning-after feeling when you wake up with a pounding headache, queasy stomach, and an overall sense of regret. And there's a good chance that's you right now because you just googled "how to get rid of my hangover quickly" and  you landed on this page. I'm here to help!

Remember, while these tips may help alleviate the symptoms of a hangover, it does not eliminate the effects of alcohol or reverse its intoxicating effects. In other words, last night still happened and can't be erased. Drink responsibly.

You already know the tried and true tricks like taking a nap, drinking water, and carbing up.

This article is going to cover some of the lesser known hangover cures and home remedies that work effectively and quickly.

Hangover Relief #1: Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is basically using coconut oil as mouthwash, swishing, and then spitting out. It pulls toxins out of your system. Oil pulling is my most used hangover cure. It works so well and quickly for me every time.

  • Get a spoonful of coconut oil
  • Swish for as long as you can (5-20 minutes)
  • Spit it out in the trash
Caution: You are already nauseous. This might make you a little more nauseous for a small moment. Stay close to your trash can. It sometimes takes me a couple tries to keep the coconut oil in my mouth for more than a minute or two. The relief I get is worth the extra effort!

Hangover Relief #2: Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal is a powerful natural substance that is created by heating carbon-rich materials like coconut shells or wood at high temperatures. This process creates a highly porous material with a large surface area, which helps it trap and absorb toxins, impurities, and excess oils from the environment and the body.

This works best if I take a dose of activated charcoal capsules before the night begins, before I go to bed, and again in the morning. But that doesn't always happen. It still works if I take it just in the morning (although sometimes I need to double the dose).
