The truth is, while most tap water in the U.S. is treated and safe to drink, it often contains a cocktail of chemicals, metals, and contaminants that you probably don't want in your water. Luckily, there are readily available water filters you can use in your home to get all the "surprises" out of your water to make it as clear and basic as possible.
My favorite water pitchers and bottles are from Clearly Filtered
Clearly Filtered’s secret weapon is its three-stage filter, which uses a blend of activated carbon and other fancy filtering materials to say “Not today!” to chlorine, fluoride, lead, PFAS (yep, those pesky “forever chemicals”), pesticides, and about 360 more nasties.
- While most filtered pitchers target as few as 5 of 300+ contaminants found in tap water, Clearly Filtered targets 365 -- including those linked to cancer, bone disease, reproductive issues, and more
- The bottle removes up to 99.99% of 220+ contaminants
- Targets chlorine, fluoride, lead, arsenic, & more without removing beneficial minerals
- Third-party tested & verified
- Built in the USA with premium, medical-grade materials
Why I Love Clearly Filtered
There are a lot of filters on the market and I've tested quite a few of them. I've had a Berkey for years and still love it (read my Berkey review here). I love that the Berkey holds a lot of water (mine holds 3 gallons) and only needs to be refilled once a day. But my husband does not love how much counter space it takes up and my kids don't love that the water isn't cold.
Enter the Clearly Filtered Pitcher & Bottle!
- Perfectly fits in the fridge and filters about 80 oz of water at a time
- My kids love that the water is cold and ready to drink
- My husband loves that it doesn't take up counter space
- Portable:
- The pitcher is easy to take on car tips so we can have filtered water when we travel
- The water bottle makes me feel so much better about filling up my water bottle on the go from water fountains and sinks
- Targets more contaminants than most filters with 3rd party testing & verification
- Does not remove healthy minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium
- Very affordable in comparison to other water filter systems
