DIY Kitchen & Bath Soft Scrub Cleaner

If you want a sparkling clean home without the harsh chemicals found in commercial cleaners, I gotcha! This DIY kitchen and bath soft scrub recipe is all natural, easy to make, inexpensive, versatile, multipurpose, and effective. You can use it on sinks, tile, counters, toilets, bathtubs, stove tops.....anywhere that needs a little scrubbing power.

DIY Kitchen & Bath Soft Scrub Cleaner Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup baking soda
  - Baking soda is a natural abrasive. Learn more ways to use it here.
- 10 drops lemon essential oil
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar OR 2 tablespoons unscented castile soap OR 1 tablespoon Thieves Household Cleaner
  - Thieves Household Cleaner is my favorite! This bottle of concentrate makes about 20 full sized bottles of all-purpose spray cleaner and I use it to clean everything!
- 1-2 tablespoons water to get the desired consistency
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together
- Scrub the surface as needed with a scrub brush
  - I like to use a scrub brush with a soap dispenser. I fill it about 1/4 full with white vinegar OR unscented castile soap OR Thieves Household Cleaner and 3/4 full of water. I squirt the extra liquid as needed.
- Allow to sit 5-10 minutes for tougher stains and residue
- Rinse and dry the surface
Notes
- I don't store this as I find it has a tendency to harden even in an airtight container. I make this recipe and use it as needed.
- You can adjust the ratios and make a smaller or larger batch.
- Before using the scrub on delicate surfaces, do a spot test to ensure it doesn't cause any damage.
- For best results, use the scrub regularly to prevent the build-up of grime and stains.
- You can use fresh lemon juice. I prefer the heavily concentrated power of lemon essential oil and think the cleaning power is stronger.
